International Student Exchange Programme resumes

This fall, Ateneo de Manila University welcomes 52 international exchange students (IXS) on campus  to attend onsite and flexible modality of classes for the First Semester of SY 2022-23. Among these IXS, 47 are enrolled in undergraduate courses while 5 are taking masteral or doctoral courses. The IXS this semester come from Ateneo’s partner universities in Austria, France, Germany, Japan, The Netherlands, Spain, South Korea, and the United Kingdom.

The IXS attended a three-day virtual orientation session conducted by the Office of International Relations (OIR) to fully integrate them into university life. Topics covered were: enrollment guidelines, university policies, student services and even cultural and historical overview.

The IXS are currently completing enrollment processes in time for their classes which started 11 August 2022.

With the Ateneo Student Exchange Council (ASEC), OIR’s partner student arm, the IXS have also been integrating into Ateneo student life and exploring unique experiences in Metro Manila. Such interactions are opportunities for intercultural engagement between Ateneo’s local and international students outside of the classroom.
