Biology and Life Sciences seniors take 2nd in national genetics quiz

The Department of Biology proudly congratulates Kirk Louie V. Amandoron (4 BS LfSci), Johanne Michael B. Flores (4 BS LfSci), and Francis Mart Angelo R. Legitimas (4 BS Bio) for placing 2nd in the prestigious 6th National Intercollegiate Genetics Quiz Contest (NIGQC) held Saturday, November 7, at the SEARCA Building in the University of the Philippines-Los Baños campus.

Additionally, Flores was the top scorer among all participants in the Individual Test portion of the competition.

The team was coached by Ms. Rhea Abisado and Dr. Vivian Panes, faculty members of the Department.
 
All three are members of TaTaBOx, the official academic competition team of the Ateneo Biological Organization - eXplore. eXperience. eXcel. (BOx). Amandoron is the current President of the organization.
